Dossier HOS/CL — Hospitality

Hospitality is regulation with a welcome mat.

Behind every good guest experience is a compliance framework most travelers never see — licensing, liability insurance, tourism registries, tax treatment. Dan's hospitality work operates on both sides of that line: as co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer of Compass Living, driving expansion across Asia with operating experience centered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and independently, building CasAway, a residential hospitality project now in early development.

That includes the unglamorous groundwork — building a short-term rental business case for Villavicencio, Colombia complete with full financial modeling and a compliance framework covering RNT registration, Ley 2068 civil liability insurance, TRA reporting, and FONTUR tourism-fund obligations.
